Today was a filled day with so much homework that me and Nikki had to go to the library twice. But it was interrupted when Nikki’s Aunt and Uncle came and visited us and took us out to eat! How sweet! It was a great part of the weekend.

The One Hundred: 55 Minnetonka Moccasin

You know it is a good day when we have another shoe on the list!
And not just any shoes the Moccasin!

I love these shoes because one they add a more laid back look to your outfit the are perfect all year round [with a change of outfits, of course]. My favorite are the boots with the three layers of fringe. These old school, low-key, sneaky stylish, and casual classic. You can wear these with skinnies and tees or you can go all Kate Moss and wear cutoffs and show your skinny lovely legs! There have been many versions of the moccasin but the original is always the best! The little beads on the slippers actually used to indicate what tribe people were in.
Moccasins were the American’s first footwear, worn by many Native Americans for years and years. People in the suburbs didn’t start to wear them until the 1940s. After WWII when Americans started to go out on the highways and bringing them back and then soon they became a staple! And we have worn them ever since!

What do you wear your moccasins with?

The One Hundred: 54 Mary Janes

Yes lovely ladies the Mary Janes are a necessity!

I was kinda surprised to see this one on the list because we all talk about how to not cut the leg off with a buckle or strap and that is why we al lean for the pumps but Mary Janes are a must! [apparently]. SO I looked into things to wear them with and got a pair of my own and tada! I figured out why they were on this list….. because they are just so darn cute and I just love them!
I mean we all wore them when we were younger now with the heels and pointed toe we have the sweet and sassy calling for all the oos and ahhs! You can go for the classic black made by the best, Manolo Blahnik, Christian Louboutin…………. and Christian Louboutin. It is best in the basic patent leather but if you want an edge go for a print or a fun color or maybe even some embellishments from studs to gems! But always get the smallest strap as possible to keep the leg from being cut off!

Mary Janes came about in the 20s and 30s when the hemlines started to rise up and shoes became more visible and important!
The name “Mary Janes” came about from a character named Mary Jane in the comic Buster Brown; where she wore strapped heels.

” Do you know what these are? Manolo Blahnik mary janes. I though these were an urban shoe myth!” ~ Carrie Bradshaw

The One Hundred: 53 Man’s White Shirt

We all loved it when Tom Cruise came out in just his white buttoned down and just his socks! Everyone is recreating it all the time! Heidi Klum did a commercial in that outfit and we have seen it in many movies. So it shouldn’t be a surprise that women just love to steal that white button down to wear everyday.

We all love our husbands, boyfriends, models, or fellow college students in them because they are classic and crisp [and I just love men in button downs period dot] then put it on a women and it sizzles! I mean they do have this sackerisc, getting ready the morning after really fast making other women jealous and leaving men intrigued. [and no a tailored women's buttoned down  does not have the same chicness] And the best part ladies! You can buy this shirt from Brooks Brothers to Target or even TJMaxx. But when you go looking for it try to keep it as close to a man’s shirt as possible no pearls or covered buttons.

I wish I had this in my closet I would wear it so often! Another one for the wish list!

The One Hundred: 52 Mad Money

I know what you are thinking….. what is mad money. Well the first thing that I thought of was the movie Mad Money. But that is not exactly what this term mad money means. But that was a good movie! [I must say]

Mad Money. About $50 you hide in your wallet or purse to keep in case of emergencies, and when you use it you have to replace that AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
This term came about by Howard J. Savage at the end of an article as “slang”. He called it money women carry around in case they get in a “row” with their escort and have to go home alone……. [wow] or she is shopping somewhere that does not accept credit cards and she finds that perfect little black dress.

Well if I wasn’t a college student I would have Mad Money though I do have emergency cash if ever needed but not for shopping :(
